Interrogation: The Freddy P Project
From the air drops, huge Pipeline, hip-hop, impossible sections made, to the cast of characters, "The Freddy P Project" has all its bases covered. It does what a surf movie is supposed to do: make the viewer want to run from the couch to the surf as soon as the credits start rolling.
"The Freddy P Project" highlights the world's best surfers in optimal conditions, but it shows the world that Fred Pattachia can hang in there with them--that he belongs there with them. Freddy P surfs Pipeline like a man, can float huge sections, has his air tricks tight, and can obviously crank out top-notch surfing when the pressure boils over in a contest situation.
The film has a good vibe, a good soundtrack, and a vintage touch juxtaposed with modern technology. Big, blue-green Hawaii, perfect Mexico, angelic Tahiti, lightning fast WCT footage... Most of all it showcases a young surfer who is as well-liked as he is talented.
